    f.e.a.r 2 and nod 32 conflict

    hello , while installing fear 2 , everytime my nod32 (version 3.0) delete a file just installed and the setup wont continue
    so i had to uncheck everything from the threatsense engine parameter setup (real time protection) and i was able to install the game
    anyway i don't know if that ever happened to you but do u know anyway to make the antivirus ignore a specific location (so i can reset my default protection)
    cz i want my protection to be at its maximum but i dont want the antivirus to delete that file and corrupt the game

    is the game genuine? if there is a crack.. then no wonder that antivirus deletes that. :rolleyes: cracks contain trojans and similar crap quite often.

    OR, it is a false positive. that happens now and then. put the detected file into a password protected archive (zip, rar, ...) and send it to the antivirus company with a proper description, don't forget to mention the password you have used. (using the password is necessary, otherwise the file can be removed by antivirus control on the e-mail server.)

    If you suspect NOD32 is flagging/deleting a false positive, you can also upload the file to Virustotal.com.
    There the file can be scanned by 20+ different AV's at once.
    If NOD32 is the only one flagging it as bad, you can be sure it's a false positive.
