I assuming you are using free version, if so try to reinstall AVG after uninstalling current AVG, may solve your problem.

Not sure why it ain't working for you. I just tried it on my EEE and G2S, updated both no issues. Are you using version 8?

the server seems to be okay.

check the DNS servers in your connection settings, sometimes these get changed (by some infection) to 85.xxx.xxx.xxx, which is then preventing you from being able to download the updates. change it back to original values or dhcp and you should be able to update again, if the fake DNS is the reason of the troubles.

Its Malware that changes the DNS to 85.xxx.xxx.xxx Series of DNS server mate , so i would suggest you to run a MalwareBytes / SpyBot or whatever you seem to fit ;) this should clean it also disable the System Restore option too..

    FYI > Virus Name : Zlob.DNS

vinumsv, unfortunately there are tons of trojans causing this, known under tons of aliases... it seems to be "in" nowadays to cause such kind of troubles and block AV updates.

and, you have changed your avatar, nearly confused me, but only nearly  :p
