Who cares what it does? <grin> It is from the Zone Alarm folks, you remember them? They are the ones who provide BLOATED software that does everything but eat when all you really wanted was a simple firewall. Sorry for the rant. I used to really like Zone Alarm, but it became so much of a resource hog and was a pain in the ... to get rid of.

No thanks. Fool me once shame on you. Fool me twice...

According to the site, it has anti-phishing tools, blocking of downloads and software installations you don't want, and web surfing history erasing. So it sounds like it combines IE7's anti-phishing tool, Vista's User Account Control, and your favorite browser's "erase private data" function. Not too exciting if you ask me. Probably a bit more sophisticated than the aforementioned alternatives, but also probably more annoying.

Disclaimer: I too have had negative experiences with Zone Alarm. For me it did everything including eating - eating all of my system's resources, that is. Sure Windows Firewall may not be quite as secure, but it's much, much easier to get along with.
