First off I'm using Windows 7 64-bit. That said whenever I open the Control Panel everything works fine but I can't select any of the options in the Control Panel and Windows Explorer freezes. After a little while a prompt pops up asking if I want to restart, close, or wait for Windows Explorer to respond. I always pick restart and it closes the Control Panel and works fine. This problem only started yesterday when I installed Avast. After doing some research online and getting a blue screen with the Avast file aswMonFlt.sys mentioned in it, I found out Avast is not liking my computer right now. That's where the problem is though, I can't uninstall the program without getting into the Control Panel. And if I do uninstall it what anti-virus software would I use because AVG doesn't like the Curse client I use for WoW.

Any help would be appreciated, thanks!

Ok that fixed it thank you so much. Also, do you know of any good free anti-virus software I could use to replace it?

Ok well I'll try AVG again and see if that cooperates. Thanks again though.
