    Hi,
I'm a windows 10 user.I never used any anti-virus program before except windows' built in defender. Now, I'm thinking about getting a security program for my PC. Which kind of anti-virus should I choose?

    Regards,

    Gustavo Woltmann

All antivirus program detections are decent these days, pick from the ones with least performance impact, the lower, the better:

I run ESET NOD32 Antivirus myself, no bloatware, just an antivirus file scanner and HTTP Detections for those times when you accidentally click on a malicious link or some program is trying to do any malicious connections on your system. It is also one of the very few AVs out there that has PUP detection

Go with Defender in Windows 10 I used MSE with my Windows 7 and it had no problems with software I installed and used. Data points can be used to push one's own product and not show a real world usage that happens everyday.

Just remember the A/V is only good as the user controls it. Some are bloated ware and instead of helping - hinder your system performance thus missing the actual job they are suppose to do is catch virus/malware quietly and discretely.
