Have you run scans with your resident AV? Which one are you using?

I would suggest running a scan with Hitman Pro, in safe mode (with networking; as u need an active internet connection to run a scan).

If you can go into safe mode, the first step is to scan so that you can isolate and quarantine whatever file or folder is infected or compromised. Second step is backing up all your important date. Do not take action against the virus until you've backed up confirmed secure data(i.e. files which you can confirm are clean). Once you've backed up everything, you can quarantine or delete the infected files and see how the system behaves.
