A not so subtle hint to do a search, methinks.

Firefox 3.0 is supposed to do some of the things that SpywareTerminator does which one of those things is to prompt you and notify what it thinks could be spyware. -
Please play with SMS or cellphones to your hearts content. Before you post on NBR please think.
Practice spelling first. Then post here. The majority of NBR members like clear posts. Not cellphone talk.
It really does not impress. Anyone.
And everything FTW is making a fool out of you.
Especially when you create posts and change your mind about a product that you swore by.....
You are probably young and bored. Please grow up. And then try to post sense. Please.

there is not a "best antispyware" in fact what a software does in a proper way, so to speak, another one does it better but it will lack of some important features the other software has and vice versa. Personally speaking i use avg free edition which apart from being an antivirus it also detects a lot of spywares. But, since i dont trust it fully i also use spyware seach and destroy which detects most of the spywares. keep in mind that the best antivirus and antispyware available is the way you use the internet and how you behave while you surf!

Grow up lad.
Before its too late...... -
superantispyware is a good free one, if you need to check your system.
-
Windows Defender is one of the best antispyware programs and it's free for XP.

kthxbye -

I find the Kaspersky engine under the covers in ZoneAlarm AntiVirus on Vista to be enough. I had Windows Defender turned off, but recently turned it back on. I do not think it will stay on, though. If I were to add another AntiSpyware program to the mix, I would probably add CounterSpy V2.
-
Avast is the best I tried so far. -
There's lots of free antispyware tools available, but in my experience they not always deliver. Anyway, there's two products I always recommend: the Grand Daddy of anti-spyware, AdAware from Lavasoft, and PC Tools' Spyware Doctor. Spyware Doctor is what I use when I use Windows.

How can you say that? everytime I scan with Windows Defender it gives me no errors or maybe just one error/spyware...
then I run a test with any other program like Spybot Search and Destroy the last time I tried,, and it found 19 spwayre problems! so how in the world can anyone recommend such a crappy POS? -

But clearing your cookies meas you have to login in each site / forum which is very annoying and tedious.

But there is a way ! scan with a 3rd party spyware proggey! and dont clear ur cookies!
-

Actually, on my PC, I have scanned with SpyBot S&D, with Windows Defender, with SuperAntiSpyWare, with CounterSpy V2, ..., not a one of them has ever found a thing. This is because there is nothing for them to find on my machine.

All tracking cookies.
BTW, I also use the feature of the AdBlockPlus add-on to Firefox to extend the sites that AdBlockPlus blocks. Here is an extract of some of those:Attached Files:

For the record, Windows Defender is not a POS. -

I'm sure you can turn off cookie-flagging in other programs too... that's ok too, just don't think the program's so great because it found a bunch of crap that Defender correctly decided is not worth flagging.
Then again, if you want to clear out your advertiser cookies for some reason, then I guess it's convenient... they'll be recreated in a few minutes of web browsing... but it'll thwart advertiser tracking and targeting, I guess. -

Not all cookies are advertising and tracking, either. They are also used for shopping carts, maintaining state (e.g.: logged in), and general storage between visits to sites.

hmmm you all are starting to convince me...
so if WD FTW? -
I've decided to stick with Windows Defender as well. It does the job and as it's been said before i'm suspicious when programs find X10 the problems other programs didn't find. It's funny because those are the ones that want you to buy before fixing anything.
Many on these boards like WD. I do as well and the real time protection is great. -

There is a Wiki write-up on Windows Defender
-
If you want Windows Defender to alert you also when it detects software (or software making changes) that has not yet been analyzed by Microsoft WD, then you have to join the 'advanced membership';
Start Windows Defender, click on Tools, click on Microsoft Spynet and select Join with an advanced membership.
Cheers. -

As I previously said, I vacillate between having WD on and off. It is currently on.
