My only gripe with Panda is that I have to turn it off first before installing any new software, i.e. Office 2010, Microsoft Expression, etc.

...and that would be one of the most likely times to get a virus/trojan. thats not good practice. i want virus protection and my comodo firewall on whenever installing anything. comodo is a pita but it is thorough and lets you know exactly what is trying to go where.

EDIT: is it me being dumb or... could panda put something on the home page to say exactly what their program is? also, once i've linked to the blog theres no link back to the home page either.

The thing about this is that it doesn't happen that often. Out of all the software installations Ive done (which is on my Windows 7 trial), I've only had to close panda to install the two software I mentioned above. When I installed other software, such as Office 2007, Adobe, etc., there were no problems and I didn't have to close panda prior to. Maybe there is something about the Office 2010 build that prevents it from properly installing whenever I'm running panda (considering that it is still in beta of course)?

We released a new version of Cloud Antivirus today with a number of key upgrades, including advanced configuration, a behavioral blocker for instant protection, and self-protection of antivirus files to ensure protection can’t be disabled by targeted malware attacks.

If you’re a current user, you will have to uninstall and then reinstall to take advantage of the upgrades. It should take only a minute or so. Just go here. If you’re new to Cloud Antivirus and want to try it out, you’ll need to uninstall whatever AV you’re currently using first.

We also released a brand new Pro Edition today, which we’re really excited about! If you want to avoid the whole uninstall/reinstall process with each new release, and benefit from automatic USB and hard drive vaccination and a few other really cool features, you may want to give the Pro Edition a look. You’ll still receive full protection with both the Free and Pro Editions – the Pro is focused on usability and convenience upgrades.

Feel free to let me know if you have any questions or run into any problems. The Cloud Antivirus Support Forum also has lots of good info: CloudAV Support Forums

gazzacbr - I just saw your message, so sorry for not responding sooner. If you check out the site now, we've added additional product information. In regard to your comment about the blog, while there are lots of links in the posts back to the homepage, I see your point! I'll pass on that feedback.
