I'll be very surprised if Comodo and Mamutu together use the same or more Disk IO though.

I don't care too much about the 50MB difference in RAM, I'd be fine with 60MB, but I like to keep disk IO to an absolute minimum across all programs. Cloud scanning helps a ton with that.

Eset Smart Security 5 offers Smart scanning. But i didn't have good experience with it overall as it's still in Beta

Smart scanning? Is that cloud or what?

And just to be clear I'm not saying that my setup is the end-all be-all of setups. It just happens to be the best one I can come up with for me personally. I would not suggest it to everyone.

Yeah many AV/Ms have a game mode now.

Nice to see some cloud features. Definitely helps keep things lighter.

Here's a look at all of the security software running on my computer.

Note that Mamutu was in the middle of an update.

Why not going with Kaspersky 2012 instead of running multiple security apps ? It can be found free after rebate most of the time

I'd rather have multiple security applications rather than one. What advantages would I possibly get by using Kaspersky?

I am guessing that you have never used Kaspersky cause it doesn't slow down a pc anymore than any other security option

It may not slow it down but antiviruses are inherently going to use more resources than my setup.

I have Avira free, it doesn't slow down my system. Heck, I didn't pay for it.

@ Hungry Man how is that Chrome C-48? I am looking into getting a Chrome OS netbook.

The CR48 is underpowered but the OS is nice. It complements my other computer well and I use them both often.

2012 versions are much improved even over the 2011 version that I felt was getting a little bloated

Kaspersky was free after rebate so it's all good :)
