Does anyone have the optimal solution to get this stuff off your computer.
I ran mcafee, it said it deleted a bunch of trojans
I ran ad aware, it said it removed a bunch or malware. spyware, tracking objects
i ran avg free which said it quarantined 3 trojans.

But when i open firefox, popups show up.
than internet explorer gets all excited and starts its own pop ups.

I haven't had virus's before. This is my first run, but I can't get rid of the pop ups and my computer is slower than ever (HP DV6000T, 2GB Ram, etc)

Is there a solution (hopefully free), without reformatting?

    Anyone got a solution?

The only sure-fire solution is to reinstall the OS from scratch.

adaware is not the top dog it once was, try Malwarebytes and SuperAntiSpyware. And make sure you only have one av running at any time. But honestly, the best thing would be a reinstall; once it's infected, it can be next to impossible to remove all traces of evil.

I vote for a good old reinstall.

MBAM and SAS are the most recommended antispyware programs.
Dr. Web CureIt and especially Smitfraudfix are also worth using. (for other links check my sig).

However, like mentioned before a clean install is the most secure option.
And full scans with a boatload of security programs will probably take as much time.

When you do a re-install, why not make a backup image when you've installed the OS and updates with free DriveImageXML, so if you ever have the same problem again you can just copy the image to your HDD and you'll have a clean install in no-time.
    Cheers.
