I think my laptop went nuts. Today I started my computer up by pressing the power button. But for some reason it had a 'could not start' error. Then it gave me an option to do 'repairs". I clicked yes and waited. Once it finished it started up fine.

But upon looking for a recent game I had installed, I could not find it! And lo and behold other games that I had uninstalled about 2 days ago were back! I think it restored itself, even though I have never once in my lifetime made a back up to use as a restore point.

Has this happened to you guys before? Kinda ticks me off cuz the game I recently installed takes forever with the patches (Company of Heroes). I have to do it all again. It just vanished lol.

Nowhere in the options did it say it would restore my computer like this. It said 'Repairs'.

It's most likely not a virus but Window's Restore feature.
If it was on the Windows boot menu there are one or two options for "Repair" that will "Restore windows to last good configuration" which will exactly do what you describe. Windows automatically creates restore points unless you explicitly disable the WIndows Restore service/feature.

If you still thinks its viral you can download & run Microsoft's Security Essentials
