    Hi all

I've encountered a weird problem yesterday, for some reason I was unable to access My Safe. Even by Placing my mouse over the icon or making connections with it via searching, an error message like this pops up:

I have no idea how it comes to thi. I ran a virus check with my Rising (Newest Version) but yet nothing suspicious was shown. I'm not very concerned of the My Safe itself, but I'm more worried of my files originally stored in there.
If possible, can anyone tell me how to retrieve files from My Safe...since it won't even allow me to hover my mouse over the icon.
Solving this problem would be even better.
Thanks to all who are willing to help~

P.S. Another thing which I have spotted is that the fingerprint scanner no longer works or should I say that the protector suite is not responding, because appearently the control panel still receives signal when I did a testing.

I am moving this to the Security forum to see if you might get some responses.

Seems like you've deleted the files associated with the Safe, can you restore them by any chance?

Another solution is, just re-install the Safe application.

Warning: You might lose whatever content that was in your safe, you might not, it's a 50-50 chance

As you write that you've installed a new version of Rising AV, have you checked whether that program blocks access to your 'My Safe'? (like f.i. Avast did, years ago)
Perhaps you need to add the file and/or program location to the exclusion list of the on-access/pro-active protection part of Rising AV.
Maybe it's completely unrelated but it's worth checking.
    Cheers.

The "cannot initialize remote connection" sounds like a bad connection to me, most likely a blocked port.
Baserks suggestion is good in this respect - it may be your AV blocking a certain port.

(Why does that software need an online connection though?)
