My nephew needed to do some school work while at my house and used my laptop.
Now I'm getting pop-ups even tho my pop-up blocker is on.
I'm also using ccleaner and the registry scan. Just updated the latest version of AVG (free edition) and did a computer scan. After doing all this I re-started my laptop and still get pop-ups.

What else do I need to do or what am I doing wrong? :(
    Thanks in advance

It looks like some adware may have slipped onto your computer. I'd try running a full scan with Spyware Doctor Starter Edition: http://pack.google.com/intl/en/pack_installer.html?hl=en&gl=us (you don't have to download everything selected, just install Spyware Doctor)

See what that comes up with, good luck :)

    booboo,
DL'ed Spyware Dr and found 8 low level problems.
Will see if now I'm back to normal.
    Thanks

Scan with Windows defender and see if detects anything. Sounds like a serious spyware infection. Download here

    I'd advice SUPERAntispyware and Malwarebytes'Antimalware.
Let both programs do a scan of your HD (and keep the one you prefer as an on-demand spyware scanner).
Download links are in my signature.
    Cheers

Try the trial version of CounterSpy. If no luck, you might try TrendMicro, Pada, or any of the other free online scanners. You might even consider HijakThis, if nothing else works. Good luck.
