In reading the forum, I've seen bloatware mentioned quite often. That made me think about something.
Is there a program available that will remove programs that aren't used?
I will go in and remove some stuff myself, but sometimes I'm not sure what something is, so I'm hesitant to remove it and screw up my system.
Ideally, I'd like to find a program that you can set for say, 6 months. If you've not used a program for 6 months it will temporarily be removed until you finalize its removal.
Are there any programs that will do this?

You could just use 'Add remove programs' that comes with windows, and only uninstall programs that you have installed on your system.

Common sense plays a part in this as well. Only install software you trust, if something looks a bit dodgy then don't install it.

If you don't use a program then remove it.

CCleaner has an uninstall feature that shows programs that sometimes don't show up in the regular Windows Add/Remove Window. Personally, I'd rather remove bloatware manually than have some automatic program do it.

You can use Google to find out what is bloatware and what is not or you could try checking out your notebook manufacturer's sub-forum on here since most of them have bloatware removal guides for your specific notebook make.

In Windows 7, you can go to the Programs and Features control panel, then right-click on the column headers and add the "Last Used On" column. That may help, if the programs support it.

Yes, but I still find some programs don't show up in the Add/Remove Control Panel.
