The Notebook Review forums were hosted by TechTarget, who shut down them down on January 31, 2022. This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    What do you guys think about Trusteer Rapport software? I can't find too much information on it but apparently a bunch of banks are now using it so that must mean something.

    Usefull app for browser hardening.
    Especially https traffic of course, can be compared with (also free) Prevx SOL.
    You can check this WildersSecurity thread for more info, especially the remarks by Kees1958 are useful on how to use it's full potential.
    I haven't tried it for quite a while so check it's resource usage as mentioned in the thread.

    Interesting. I got 6 gigs of RAM so I'm not worried about that. As long as it makes browsing a little safer I'm happy.
