Maximum protection for your computer against malware, online threats and misuse of confidential data. The program protects the computer from viruses and spyware at all entry points. All electronic mail and websites are examined in order to detect dangerous or unwanted content. It enables the reliable protection of sensitive data by encryption or the permanent shredding of confidential files no longer in use. The program also contains a unique multi-engine scanning technology, which guarantees high malware detection.

    COMPLETE DATA PROTECTION
    • Antivirus and antispyware
    • Internet protection
    • Intelligent firewall
    • Data protection by encryption
    • Reliable data shredding
    • Access management - NEW!
According to AV Comparatives they use the AVG and Bitdefender scanning engines.

What I like about their Antivirus is that it is a files only scanner, no HTTP scanning or other bloatware that interfere with your system.

They are ranked pretty well according to the latest VB100 report:

Currently running the AV in trial mode, not a big fan of the GUI but who cares.

The initial signatures update took well over 5 minutes on my 100 MBPS Down connection.

I just sent an email to TrustPort's tech support asking them how to disable scanning of newly inserted devices. I received a reply within 15 minutes. Excellent support:

I just sent TrustPort's support an email asking them about my license and if I want to reinstall the AV after a format how is it handled. They replied within 5 minutes telling me that I am free to do so as they monitor how many computers are using the license at the same time. Nice to know that I don't have to deal with de-activating the license and any re-activation limits.

Great support I always get a reply very quickly.

I like that it has like a Classic Windows look and feel to it instead of the tacky Metro theme. Looking forward to checking it out.

I wasn't able to send it as a gift, I sent them an email late night. Please standby. Meanwhile, please install the demo then you can activate it with a license.

OK. I'll make a drive image first and then download it. Thanks, bro.

Which trial should I install, bro? Just the barebones AV option?

OK, I have been using it for a month and have to say it is really good. Good enough that I plan to leave it installed, and that says a lot all by itself. (I generally do not use any AV software.)

TrustPort is never intrusive and does not seem to slow down my system. I really like the minimalist interface and the absence of extra crap. Just a simple and effective AV. Much better than bloated security "suites" that tend to get in the way.

The other day it found some kind of trojan crud in a temp folder and quarantined it.

    Thanks for this.

Of all the AV software threads, this particular one is of the most interest to me. TrustPort is having a sale on its Internet Security suite - 3 licenses for $20, but I'm not entirely sure that would be the best thing. Problem is the same package of just the AV is $30.

Most companies have discounts on their Security Suites. Take Kaspersky for example, their Internet Security suite turns out to be cheaper than the AV on its own.
With that said, us enthusiasts only need a good file scanner and no bloat so the AV is the only choice, to me at least. The way I see it, leave my system the heck alone, I don't want anything controlling my internet, cleaning up my junk files, checking for updates, all I want is a good file scanner as an extra safety measure.
