Yesterday avira free edition picked up this trojan "TR/CRYPT.ZPACK.GEN."
The trojan wont seem to delete, i tried, Delete Quartine and yet it still keeps appearing. I ran avira and found 12 virues and repaired all of them as it was the only opition that came up. I restarted my computer and as it turned on I got the warning "TR/CRYPT.ZPACK.GEN." is a unwanted program. The weird thing is that two different warning pop-up come up for this trojan. Any advice how to get rid of this?

No AV product is perfect. As a rule, they don't all find the same viruses... there is some overlap for the very common ones, but the less common ones are sometimes not found by many AV products.

You can't trust any AV software running on a possibly compromized system.
That said, you should better scan your computer using a (or better: at least two) Live CD. Most manufacturers of AV software makers offer such a CD for download.

Depending on the findings (note: you can't clean a compromized system), you should consider reinstalling your system.

I think i solved the problem. I uninstalled avira and avast and D.L, NORTON 2011 90 day trial and it seemed to catch the virus and delete it. How can i make sure of this? Should I download Norton again on a different computer and put it in my flash drive? How would i run a AV software from a flash drive?

Take a look at this page from website Raymond.cc.

It describes how you can put the program SARDU on an USB-stick.
Sardu combines several bootable AV ISO's, which run outside Windows.
Therefore you can scan all Windows files without running them in memory.
Sardu combines Avira, BitDefender, Dr.Web, F-Secure, G-DATA, Kaspersky and Panda AV.

Mind you, running a scan with all these, will/might take longer than actually reinstalling Windows and it will certainly take longer than restoring a backup OS image.
However, Sardu gives you the most AV's in just one bootable USB-stick.

Website Gizmo/TechSupportAlert also has this extensive list of security software, just search for the portable apps.
    cheers.
