Well, yesterday i run a full system scan (as i do everyday after use), I discoverd it found a TROJ.Generic and i couldnt remove it. So went into the handy safe mond and ran malwarebytes and it didnt pick up anything so i tried again and still nothing. I then used trend micro again and it picked up nothing very werid so im wondering whether im in fact infected or not, any one with help or with a solution will be fantastic.

Sounds like it could be a false positive, but why it didn't show up again in Trend Micro confuses me.

by chance, couldn't the file removal be planned for restat (because it was held by some process, and therefore it could not be removed immediately)? that could explain what you describe.
