I just bought a pc and I want to protect it. I hear that spy sweeper is a good software but before I buy it I wanna hear from the experts. What is a good Anit-virus software?

NIS 2009 is very good. Re-written for speed this year and they seem to have done it right.

spy sweeper = bah junk imo.. you dont need it i just dont like it as its a resource hog and imo doesnt always work how i want it to, get a good av or internet security system and the only other thing i like personally is malwarebytes. i run kis2009 myself and i am trying nis2009 out. kis2009 is a awesome program

I wouldn't suggest Spy Sweeper either. Go with Super Anti Spyware and Malwarebytes Anti-Malware instead. They're both free and provide great protection. If you only want to use one, go with Super Anti Spyware.

    For anti-virus programs:

    Free option: Avira
    Paid: NOD32

im prob going to hear about it and be flamed for this post but my thoughts on nod 3.xx are that i no longer sell or recc nod to my customers, way to many issues and its really starting to fall behind in overall detection and sigs. before version 3 it was awesome but with the newer version imo its just not the same and i dont think will be. eset cust support has also gone downhill. they are relying wayyy to much on the programs heuristics and while good they dont pick up everything especially a lot of malware. for virus' its usually great but nod has a hard time removing infections. kaspersky really shines for removal as well as dr. web. imo even norton's is better at removal then nod. avira while it has FANTASTIC DETECTION also at times has trouble removing threats.
