Norton AV has left a bad taste in my mouth that will probably take a decade to forget.

Also NIS 09 doesn't have the best reviews out there. Source: Google :)

i used to hate symantec too, but there are also a lot of good reviews out there....you only went to one source ? also look @ cnet and pcmag's take...

i used nis 2008 on 3 machines without problems, now nis 2009, also with no problems...it's actually more lightweight on the OS than it's predecessor.

I looked multiple places. That's why I said Source is Google.

BTW Cnet only gives 2 1/2 stars out of 5

Pcmag is bia$ed(norton got 4.5/5 and nod 32 got 4/5), but not bia$ed enough not to expose NIS cons.

I'll admit I'm a little biased too, but for good reason. I'll need to see some serious high marking review on most sites for me to even consider testing this on a Virtual OS.

Cnet gave NIS 2009 4/5 stars...

You might want to pay more attention before you go bashing something.

Ok my bad ... I was looking at User Ratings which is more important IMO.

Giving it's history, I still have every right to bash it.
