The Notebook Review forums were hosted by TechTarget, who shut down them down on January 31, 2022. This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

After ages without any updates, it has finally been updated today:

    SpywareBlaster 5.5

It's free by the way, you don't need to pay for the automatic updates just update yourself once a week.

What I like about this program is that it works on most browsers and helps prevent tracking cookies/bad sites from even reaching you in the first place
    Features:

Prevent the installation of ActiveX-based spyware, adware, browser hijackers, dialers, and other potentially unwanted software.

      • Block spyware/tracking cookies in Internet Explorer and Mozilla Firefox.
      • Restrict the actions of potentially unwanted sites in Internet Explorer.
