    Spyware problem.

    Downloaded this file and instead of being the freeware program i wanted it was somthing called freemovies or mediachecker (as it said in task manager) i cut it off early during the install but now i here lysol cleaning product commercial audio 24/7. i cant stop it and no program is open. im away from home now and dont have the resources or or energy to reformat. how can i fix this?

    Start with an antivirus scan, Spybot scan, malwarebytes' anti-malware scan and see if that fixes things.

    And, also use RevoU for a complete thorough uninstall (Advanced)...to get it *all* out!

    Then you can reinstall if you wish! :D

    Do you have msc.exe running?
    If so, kill it with task manager.
    Download Malwarebytes'Antimalware here; the free version.
    Rename the downloaded installer from mbam-setup.exe to abc.exe, then install it.
    When installing, remove the checkmarks for auto-update and launch before clicking on finish.
    When installed, rename the MBAM.exe to abcd.exe, only then start and update the program (by double-clicking abcd.exe) but do not use the scan function yet.
    Reboot into safe mode and now run a quick scan.
