Basically, i have nod32 3 EAV running. I just want a LIGHT (did I say light) anti-spyware. I'm willing to sacrifice some protection since i already have nod32. So, spy sweeper vs counterspy? (I don't care about price). It really has to be light, therefore spywware doctor is out.

Additionally, in nod32 EAV, i want to COMPLETELY disable outlook protection. I HATE the spam filter and i dont' want it scanning my stuff. How do i pern. disable it since everytime i try to, if i reboot, it comes back up.

    Thanks!

SuperAntiSpyware is the best, IMHO. It's free, and there is no conflict with NOD32. I run it alongside Spybot, SpywareBlaster, and Adaware. No problems.

In my experience Spyware Sweeper is an excellent app, but excruciatingly slow. I'd go with Counterspy if I had only those two choices.

There are several excellent free apps, one already mentioned by fonduekid. There is a thread full of great free programs in the Windows forums if you're interested.

My brother and I ran Spysweeper against SpyDoctor on similarly equipped machines a couple of years ago and Spysweeper took much more time...BUT, it caught a number of things that SpyDoctor didn't.

hm.....since nod32 eav already has antispyware, do you think i'll need a seperate one (running realtime)

Additionaly, if i was to use one w/o realtime and as an on-demand scanner, what would you guys recoomend.

Another vote for SAS. Best out there.

Yes, it's always good to have a couple of anti-spyware products on your puter because some are better at catching certain things than others. Unlike antivirus, they normally don't conflict.

If you want an on-demand scanner, Spybot or the free version of SAS would serve you well.
