    Hi there,
    i just bought a Sony laptop and wanted to buy the computrace lojack in case my laptop gets stolen. The problem though is that i dont see my laptop listed on their compatibility list
    Absolute Software - BIOS Compatibility
    Does this mean my laptop is not supported by computrace lojack system?

    Does anyone else know of software that is compatible with the newer sony vaio laptops?

    Also can anyone recommend good antivirus software, is Norton good?

    Norton, no. I honestly don't like it. I feel it's really heavy.

    Check out ESET, McAfee, or Kaspersky - they are the one's I have good experiences with.

    Use either Microsoft Security Essentials or Avast 5. Both free.

    As already suggested, contact Sony directly and also check their forum.

    Yes, Norton's antivirus is very good.
    But so are the free versions of Avast, Avira and Microsoft's MSE.
    I'd recommend Avast.
