I wondered when someone would post on this 'test'. (No criticizm towards the OP).
There are some remarkable outcomes; SAS and MBAM have scored incredibly low which will surely have raised some eyebrows.
    Mine certainly went up. ;)

On the security software forum Wilders, this test has been severely criticized by some security software veterans.
The 'testers' have not only failed to provide information on testing methodology, origin and verification of samples, versions of tested software etc.
The site also hosts links to cracks, keygens (for MBAM for instance) making it (virtually) a warez site.

This test has been done by youngsters who don't mind linking to cracks for the security products they test, they fail to provide basic information on what was tested and how.
Reputable software like from Sunbelt & SAS & MBAM & NOD32 was described as ' poor', ' marginal' or simply ' crapware'.
Seeing the top 3 position in this test, the outcome might seem valid but folks, please don't pay too much attention to this so-called 'test'.
Because of the cracks and keygens they link to, Sunbelt and Malwarebytes'Antimalware have already send their lawyers out to wreak havoc.
    So much for SSUpdater's Anti-Malware ' Test/Fraud' .
    Cheers.

When I saw this thread I immediately thought, "this doesn't seem right at all. I wonder what Baserk will say about this test." Now, I have my answer and it looks like my inclination to doubt the results was correct.

Edit: It looks like SSUpdater's site has been suspended.

Oops, when I wrote "send their lawyers out to wreak havoc", I didn't expect this or so soon.
Well, I guess if you put links, information and manuals about cracks and keygens for security software on your site and then draw attention to yourself by 'testing' the software, ridiculing it's performance and then start insulting the developers who even post on your forum, you're pretty much asking for it...

    Thanks for the edit/update Jin.

Thanks for telling me about the background of SSUpdater's site, it was just a link to a test that I found when looking at another site's forums.

No **** that was an eye opener. I also have A2 I got on GOTD but disabled. If it didn't have so many false positives, I'd use it more. It's pretty slick.

to the OP: if you have any doubts about the test then go to the source and ask them directly.
Baserk: you should tell the source what you said and i suspect you will get an honest answer.

I have no doubt, those guys have tried, in their view, to make a decent test but as I have written before, failing to provide information on testing methodology or the origin of samples, having links to cracks for the software that has been tested and naming the software crapware, marginal etc does not provide any confidence in their test.
Besides, their hostile tone of voice towards software developers (remember the ridiculing of Harrison from MBAM?) leads me to the conclusion they are hardly interested in my opinion.
    Cheers.

What's odd is that SAS runs SSupdate.exe to update definitions yet this "website" rips off the name.
