I have a cable modem connected to a Linksys Wireless Router. The router has a built in firewall. Is using Comodo on my laptop redundant?

It's not necessarily redundant because they're two different types of firewalls that do two different things. Software firewalls are good if you want to know which programs are doing what. Hardware firewalls do things such as packet filtering.

I think it all depends on how secure your wireless + router settings are. Right now I'm trying to try different tweaks and restrictions on my router, and only running my software firewall to hear about what programs are accesing what. I have definitly noticed a change with useing a router I no longer recieve warnings from my firewall that someone just tried to attack/access my computer.
Long story short I would use both, and slowly refine your router and begin to use your software firewall to inform you of what's coming past. Got too keep on the up and up!

comodo is a very good firewall. When I do a clean install, I always set the firewall to ask to connect to the internet so I can see what is trying to access the internet and then give it permission. It's also handy in this respect if you get a trojan or key logger thats trying to phone home- this stops it in it's tracks.
