I bought system mechanic for 4 years, had a deal of $60 and ive been using it for years now for free, so i bit the bullet and paid for system mechanic professional and have it on every pc i know including friends and family, they all gave me like $10 and it paid for itself.

I also run AVG internet security and i have that til like 2018.

pros and cons of these programs? i have i7-2630qm and 8gb ram, but am i fully protected? I havnt had a virus yet but no reason to risk it. if theres a better option thats possibly free i'd love to know, any reviews on iolo system mechanic? i never hear anyone talk abouit it, thats why i ask its not popular at all it seems.

talking about pirated software is not allowed on the forum as avg does not have a licence for that long.

    Either way...
I think you are good as is, however, if you want to get the same for free, simply remove existing programs and install one of the following:
    Avast, MSE or Avira.

Also, MBAM (Malwarebytes) is good for on-demand scans.

Avast is a good security suite. Comcast customers get McCaffee Security Suite for free. :)

Whatever you decide to do, make sure to have only 1 AV running in the background at all times (mixing 2 of them together can prove ineffective and potentially cause issues).

There's a reason Comcast gives out McAfee... because it sucks.

Yeah my dell computer came with McAfee for like 15 months for free, but it doesn't really pick up on much at all. I installed Malwarebytes and Threatfire instead.

That's pretty much piracy right there. Hand-waving doesn't make it less so.
