Couldn't you, ostensibly, put just about any anti-virus on a flashdrive and use it that way? For example, ShopNBC offers laptop packages which include a USB flash drive loaded with software, including CA Anti-virus and Anti-Spyware.

I have never been tempted to buy a computer from ShopNBC but I was wondering if they are expecting you to run the Anti-virus off the flash drive, or whether you have to download the program to your computer.
