this is getting annoying. i recently upgraded to win7 and the firewall in question doesnt want to stay active. i reinstalled it after turning off windows firewall. i got a little message saying it was disabled and i enabled it. no more than 10 seconds later it turns itself off. PC Tools claims its compatible with win7 but i think its a load of bull. are there any 3rd party firewalls that will play nice with win7?

Hmm.. I've tested PCTools Firewall in W7 and it worked fine.
Try uninstalling and then removing all registry entries with something like CCleaner and try again. BTW, wat other app.'s are you running alongside PCTools? Maybe there is a conflict.

Outpost, Online Armor and Comodo work very well with W7.

Also, are you running x86 or x64?

    Cheers.
