I have nortaon anti-virus installed on my laptop. When i open it up it says that there is a problem with it and i click on fix now and this takes me 2 a page that says that my norton subscripton has exspired. So i click on renew which opens up a webpage and says my subscription doesnt exspire until a few months time.

    Hi shave100,

This is Mike from the Norton Authorized Support Team responding to your posting. This issue can arise if you have ever installed any other Norton products in the past which may have expired. The easiest way to check for this is to go to the Add/Remove Programs Control Panel and see if you see any other Norton products listed. If you see any other Norton products listed, please remove them, and then restart your computer.

Next, manually run LiveUpdate to ensure that you have the latest definition and program updates applied to Norton AntiVirus. Then run a scan on your C: drive to make sure that your computer is not infected.

Please look into this and respond back to this thread so that i can assist you further. Also, please let me know which version of Norton AntiVirus you are using and which version of Windows you are running.

    Thank you,

    Mike

I've never seen Norton actually recover from something like that. I had to reinstall after uninstalling to fix it. Just an option if the above poster's does not work.
