For some reason my Norton panel comes out partially transparent. I tried uninstall/reinstalling the software but the problem persist. Thing is, sometimes its partially transparent, other times its normal. It began shortly after I upgrade to W7. Any ideas on a fix?

Sounds like it is corrupted and uninstalling and reinstalling didn't fix it. You should uninstall it and use CCleaner to clean it and reboot and try again. Otherwise I avoid Norton like a plague....MSE is free and would probably do better for you. I used to have Norton in the past when it was lean and mean but now it is bloatware and not doing what it core mission was before to catch and kill virus/malware. So if you did the steps I laid out and still won't work I would give Norton out with the bath water. Also here a snipped from wiki about Norton 360.

Did you use the Norton Removal Tool? Norton is notorious for leaving behind trace registry keys and stuff, the removal tool from Symantec actually does a good job of clearing it out.

I did not. I will try that and see what happens.
As good maybe. But according to my research, unlikely better. And the freeware does require a lot more user maintenance to keep them current. In any event, thanks for your prompt response.
