I kept my old laptop because it runs XP and I sometimes used it on the internet. I have Norton 360 loaded but the last time I used it I noticed that when the laptop loaded Norton was initially running but then became disabled. I went into the settings and autoprotect was disabled so I could not switch it on. I have emailed Norton to ask how I can sort this problem out but while I am waiting I wondered if anyone here has had this problem and knows the answer. I suspect it is some sort of virus although Norton is up to date and I am very careful. There is obviously something disabling the virus software but I have no idea what I should do now.
