Well, yesterday i was having internet problems on my laptop. Now, that appears to be ok, but no matter how many times i reinstall NOD32, the firewall refuses to work... Is this some new malware or something? the rest of NOD32 works fine, and detects no malware.

Have you done a scan with any other Malware removal programs? I.e. Malwarebytes?

If you want to try Malwarebytes'Antimalware, download it, rename mbamsetup.exe to mbsetup.exe, only then install it.
When installed, change the name of the mbam.exe (probably in C:\Program files\Malwarebytes'anti-malware) to mb.exe.
Then start the program, update it, reboot into safe mode and do a full scan.
    Cheers.

Probably a way to thwart any viruses you might have on your system.

If nothing else works, I guess you could post a HiJackThis log at somewhere like Bleepingcomputer or something. :)

HiJackThis is like a 'Log' of what's going on in your system, people at some tech help websites know what shouldn't be in these logs and they help you pick them out and delete them.

    http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/forums/topic34773.html
Follow the Intructions on that page.
    Good luck! :)

It's a good thing MBAM didn't find anything but just a question, you wrote NOD32 works well but the firewall is giving you a problem.
Do you use Eset's NOD32 Antivirus and a firewall from a different company or do you use the Eset Security Suite.
(just asking because you wrote, you had reinstalled NOD32).
Another program you want to use is Smitfraudfix, download location and instructions can be found in this post from NBR member zfactor.
    Cheers.
