My friend calls to tell me he inadvertently clicked on a pop up for Security Suite thinking it was part of his newly installed Charter cable suite…

I was impressed. This bugger did the standard misdirect settings under connection settings but did a new one to me…

This version locked out the USB ports and DVD drive! On second boot the internet connections were down.

So I’m going to have to cobble up a boot CD with MB and rkill installed to scan the C drive.

Questions; anyone BTDT with the latest version of security suite?

Does anyone, no guessing, know absolutely what will block this thing from getting through? His new version of free Avira and whatever Charter used, failed big time.

As you know, this thing is hitting Adobe reader and java updates; common sense aside, once you get the pop up, you have to think fast!
