Hello Everyone. I am not even sure if I am posting this under the correct topic. Most likely not so if someone knows where it should be please move it. Thanks.. :D

    So anyways...

I have a Sony VAIO vgn-nr110e lappy. Yes  that's that Black Friday VAIO! Well I have successfully downgraded to Win XP :p , I have ran Ubuntu 7.04 flawlessly, and Windows VISTA. But I'm straying of the subject here  .

A friend of mine has a problem with windows. He cannot run any programs without seeing a message saing "bla...bla... msvtjn.dll is missing and windows cannot run AAA program..." I don't really have much more info except it happens with EVERY program: IE explorer, Firefox, WinRAR, WOrd.... Anything that he tried running gives that error...

Now he even has problems starting windows, SAFE mode or not, even before the login screen shows the message appears on the screen, and after a couple of clicks on "OK" it goes through...

Could it have something to do with JAVA?
I have looked high and low, and no one has even mentioned that file online.
If anyone has any information, please post it.

Antivirus programs can't find it, except KASPERSKY, but then I guess it cannot delete it :(
(i have not played with the infected PC, just talked it over the phone).

    So Share your thoughts...

    msvtjn.dll

This is unfortunately not much to go on; "bla...bla... msvtjn.dll is missing and windows cannot run AAA program...".

Like you wrote, Google comes up with zero.
Kaspersky found this msvtjn.dll and could not remove it or do you think Kaspersky could not remove it?
What other AV programs have you used? Are you still able to download, install and uninstall different AV programs on that computer?
Without more information, it's difficult to give advice for a possible solution.
