    I never used it, but didn't SAS free used to have free real-time protection? Well there's no more real-time protection now.

    AFAIK, no... I think its been without the realtime for quiet some time now..NO? but its a good thing to have for on-demand I guess...

    I don't care all too much for real time protection. I do on-demand scans every few days anyways.

    Yeah, don't care about active protection for spyware either since I have other programs that would catch it anyway.

    I downloaded the free version which doesn't have real time protection but upon scans it will offer you a lifetime subscription for PRO, that does. It was only $20 so I bought it. I've upgraded twice since using my original license.
