Also, if you already have SAS, then you can update the program by: Preferences -> Update -> Check for Update Now

 

I tried this earlier, it didn't work for me; said I was already up to date. :\

What's also good about the new version is you can disable the splash screen.

 

Are you updating through the Preferences menu? When I updated through the main menu, the program wouldn't update. Only when I tried updating through the Preferences menu did I get the program update. It looks like the main menu update is only for definitions because it's titled Spyware Definitions Update. However, the update tab in the Preferences menu says, "option for downloading and installing program and definition updates."

Edit: There's a splash screen? I never saw it with the old version. Maybe it just flashed up for me when I booted up.

I'm checking for updates and it works.

 

Update doesn't work for me. When I click "download and install updates", it says to close the main screen or stop the scan (no scans running) before updating. I think it's time to get rid of SAS.

Update worked for me now. I guess I just had to wait for them to update the server for that in-program update.
