If Norton 2010 suites continue the new trend that the Norton products of 2009 started (very very low system resource usage and extremely solid security), these products will be fantastic - hopefully, they'll change some more of the engrained hatred towards past Norton offerings.

OMG! This is so less. Norton is very stingy. LOL.
I hope they would give at least 2 months of trial. XD!

Well, this is my 1st guess too. Because I know Windows 7 RC have freaking long expired date.
Norton always gives 14days of trial. It has been like that for years.

they will release a new beta key every 15 days it will be free till the beta ends, norton wants you to HAVE to remove and reinstall the newer betas to know you are actually really testing the software and not using it as a free ride during the beta period. thats what a beta is really about after all. the new version is even better than the 2009 version so far for me

That's good to know. I've been using Symantec antivirus programs for a very long time, and was quite amazed by the improvement of NIS 2009 which I have been using.

Can you please highlight some key improvements on the 2010 version? Are you beta testing Norton Antivirus or Internet Security?

So far other programs like Nod32 scan reasonably faster than Norton, and I'm wondering if the scan speed improved on NIS 2010. I just want to know if it's worth the upgrade.

I have 68 days left on my NIS 2009 licence and I'm wondering whether I should get Norton 360 V.3, or get a product key and just upgrade to NIS 2010 when it comes out...

Any idea of a release date? How long do antivirus programs usually get beta tested?

Looks promising indeed zfactor. Those stats aren't bad for the beta version. Nice dark colors on the interface too; it looks cooler than the "Black" template skin on my NIS 2009 now.

I sure hope though that NIS 2010 includes P2P Protection as competitors like BitDefender and Kaspersky have added that since their 2009 versions. Also, I hope they start indicating how much time is left (and has elapsed) in scans (especially in full system scans). Or maybe at least indicate the percantage of completon of the scan as Nod 32 does.
