Ad-Aware isn't the same anymore from when it was first released and the first little while. It's still decent now, but not as effective and light as it once was. In saying that, I haven't found a much better alternative....yet.

I think the 2008 version is an improvement over 2007. I've been using the beta for a few weeks now. I haven't got the latest though, I will remember to update it shortly.

Yeah, I'm kind of let down by how bulky Ad-Aware has become. I still have it on my desktop though. I'm not sure which I'm going to put on my Vostro. Though TBH I haven't had much call for Ad-Aware either way since I began using AVG. I love AVG.

I like new 2008. Now in scan results it shows for tracking cookies for which browser is i.e. Browser: Internet Explorer Location: ... similar to Spybot Search & Destroy.

i have ad aware plus . it now includes virus scanner , i'm not sure i'll upgrade as it will probably conflict with avast . i wish they would stop with the all in one suites . i paid for a product i can't use . i'll stick with ad aware 2007 ubtil it's not supported the no more ad aware .
