To scan any incoming file with NOD32 while receiving a file from Windows Live Messenger, follow these steps, they contain hidden switches that further enhances the scanning process and makes it more aggressive.

    1) Click on Tools > Options > File Transfer.
    2) Place a tick in “Scan files for viruses using”.
    3) Paste the following (including the quotation marks):

    "C:\Program Files\ESET\ESET NOD32 Antivirus\ecls.exe" /adv-heur /adware /arch /auto /boots /files /mail /no-log-all /pattern /quarantine /rtp /sfx /subdir /unsafe /unwanted

    4) Click on APPLY > OK.
