I scanned my Inspiron e1705 with SuperantiSpyware and it said that I had NDT2.sys Rootkit virus on my laptop. So I deleted it and rebooted and within an hour or two it came back.

So I booted into safe mode, scanned and found the offending files again and deleted again and then maybe an hour after I use my laptop regularly, it says its back again. I've done this several times over and each time it comes back. Does anyone have any ideas on how to get rid of this? Or is it something that one shouldn't have to worry about?

Turn off System Restore and then run your scans to remove virus...

So far none of the rootkit scanners in the link above seems to be able to detect ndt2.sys.

Also I have disabled system restore done a scan and gotten rid of ndt2, but then after a while it still comes back. :(

Try this. My son decided take up the trial offer. Once installed, he ran the program and several nasties were uncovered, including a rootkit which his regular malware scans missed.
