This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    My Avast Free, Came with a Firewall, But!!!

    I have been using Avast Free forever and it has never had a free firewall.

    But the other day i installed it on one of my mini pc`s using an offline download and it installed with a working firewall, And i though GREAT, Avast has evolved.

    Then a week later i had to wipe and do a re-install of Win10 on my Tablet and the Avast Free did not have an Free Firewall, It was shown as a padlock paid feature.

    So has this happened to anybody else??

    I got a pop-up from Avast today saying that Avast Free now comes with a free firewall.

    As i said in my first post the Avast Free offline i downloaded 2 weeks ago came with a firewall, It must have been an development version or something that slipped though.
