This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    was it ever NOT at the bottom? ^^ im using qihoo 360, good to see it at the top protection and usability wise :) scan performance can be indeed improved, but security is definitely more important ;)

    Qihoo AKA 360 Security combines the security power of BitDefender +Avira's scanning engines minus the buggy BitDefender program itself. For free, it's awesome, has no ads or nags and is very light on the system.

    I recommend the 360 Security Essential which does not include any bloatware or firewall, just a powerful AV and also has a Sandboxed mode to run apps sandboxed. :)

    thats exactly the version im using, actually ^^ i definitely prefer lightweight vs. bloated with a thousand functions i dont even use...
