    EDIT: Problem has been fixed.

Ok, so I had my computer on earlier, and I try to load up one of my games (Phantasy Star Online), and Avast! pops up, and tells me it is infected with:

    Win32: Delf - MZG [Trj]

So I delete it, and then now the game won't run, it said something about I can't access this .exe, and I might not have the right permissions, etc etc.

So soon after that, I get a message from Avast! saying that my Operating System is infected, and to restart with a scan, so that is where I am at now.

The scan has been running for about an hour, with only 4% done.

And almost EVERY .exe is infected! And it's just not .exe's, but other files too.

So i got a few questions:

    1. What the hell is this trojan? Is it a real bad one or a false positive?

    2. If my Games that are installed, and the .exe's are infected, will my games still run? Or do I have to re-install them all?

    3. Will this scan get rid of this? Or should I run another scan? (Recommend one?).

    Thanks

Well nvm. It did delete the files, but I got them back doing a System Restore, so everything is good now.

Thought I did enough digging around before I posted on here, guess not.

Avast had something wrong with it signatures in the update before.. Now they have updated it already. So everything is fine. :)

If your're worried do scan with MBAM or SAS :D

Glad its sorted out, what PSO were you playing?

Used to be one of my favorite games. Not too long ago I was trying out a PSO:BB and PSO V2 private servers.

I cant play PSO Universe anymore sega perma banned me for having duplicated/hacked items in my inventory. Im still upset at sega because they never gave me a chance to defend and tell them I really didnt know but worst yet is like over a year after my ban I decided to play the game again. I was able to reactivte my account, they took my money, and then when I logged on I was still banned......

I tried to contact CS over and over asking what the heck is happening and why they told me my account was active and ok and I never got any human reply or my money back.

Sucks I loved that game too.

Ahhh....PSO you should get Rep just for that.

I TRULY hope that SEGA is working on another one to go in the franchise. Monster Hunter seems to be the new PSO. I cant wait for that to drop on Wii next year :)

Ya, they banned a few of my friends that had hacked/duped items.

I play PSO: BB on the SCHTHACK server. It's privately run by two guys from the UK. We have Episode 1, 2, and 4 on the server. Everything works, trading, quest's, lobby's, etc. They even have a Forums.

No hacking/duping is allowed either. So it's a clean server, and a lot of nice people. If you ever get back into playing, that would be the place to go.

Yeah thats the one I was playing around with, just didnt get the time to get into it much.

They also have a V2 server that is allowing hacking.
