    Anyone made the upgrade? What do you think?

    File size is much smaller, I seem to remember 1.46 installer being ~30mb. I think it's even less expensive now too, is the scanning and program response time really much quicker?

    I bought my version a while back - scans are fast (quick scan takes about one minute on my system).
    Like the active protection mode and auto-update features with teh paid version.
    For me it was worth the price.

    I see a 90-100% increase in scan speed (Quick scan).

    Very nice improvement.

    The website mentions for v1.50 ( link);

    1. Dramatically improved scan speed: up to 5 times faster.
    2. Dramatically improved stability of both the scanner and protection module (paid version only).
    3. More responsive: program loads up to 3 times faster, and protection module has lower impact on system resources (paid version only).
    4. New internal detection algorithms enable detection of more real-world malware.

    Stability and loading the program have never been an issue in my case.
    I use the free version so I can't judge the ' protection module' improvements.

    Well I put the free MBAM 1.50 on my mom's computer (XP SP3) because her ESET license expires tomorrow. A scan (took f o r e v e r) found some MyWaySa and Minbug crap. Eset found nothing.

    EDIT: Just installed and did a scan on my computer too. Took literally over half the time for a full scan, just over 14 minutes when it normally needs about 35. Nice job MBAM.

    I've been using 1.50 since they released the beta for download and i've noticed it's improved a lot overall. I haven't compared the realtime protection modules yet, however scan speed and reliability is much better.
