Hopefully someone can help me out.

I'm currently running Microsoft Security Essentials, Malwarebytes Pro, McAfee and I use Spybot and Spywareblaster.

When I browse these forums Malwarebytes shows a pop-up that it has blocked acess to IP address 174.132.114.130

    Anybody have any ideas?

I've scanned everything looks fine and nothing 'weird' is running/happening otherwise.

Do you have the gator tool bar?

One way to get more info is to go to command prompt
    tracert 174.132.114...
this will give the host name

Are there any certain threads the block notice appears on? The IP belongs to Host Gator and it is possible someone is hosting their signature there. It might be blocked because the server could also serve malware that it detects.

Why are you running both MSE and McAfee? You shouldn't have two AVs running at the same time, and by also running MBAM Pro you have three (possibly four if you have Teatimer turned on in Spybot) active protection programs running on the same computer simultaneously. With that kind of setup I'm surprised you haven't had more issues similar to the one you're having now!

thanks for the PM and no toolbars of anykind that I am aware of

i'll have to try and figure this out i usually have multiple tabs open so i'll have to try one or two at a time to see if i can reproduce it on a certain thread or sub-forum

*Update...so currently it does it when I visit the 'Post Your Last Purchase' thread

not using tea timer and i've had zero issues with the three that are always running interacting with each other, McAfee came pre-installed and it is good through 04/2013 so I just left it alone

actually between the three they work really well, Malwarebytes is good at blocking bad sites and finding the occasional malware, MSE and McAfee seem to work good together as one or the other usually catch anything nasty hiding in the occasional download

Its not recommend to have three anti-viruses as they WILL cause system slowdown no matter how coherently they work.

    Also, its probably a signature.

    a) There is.
    b) There's a security issue. As Microsoft has said, running two antiviruses is only barely better than running none at all. If two programs try to scan a file it is very often that neither of them will succeed.

You won't find anyone with any type of expertise to recommend two AV's or two AS's at a time. However, it is possible to run an AV, and an AS, such as MBAM. McAfee is rated junk by many, it's seriously advised to get rid of it. MBAM is generally rated above Spybot, uninstall the later. I'd use Revo Uninstaller in advanced mode. Be careful, read the instructions.

If you'd like to use another application try SpywareBlaster. Since it doesn't run in the background it won't conflict with your other AV/AS programs.

SpywareBlaster | Prevent spyware and malware. Free download.

All I know is McAfee caught two different issues that MSE and MBAM did not. Also it was free for 24 months so I hate to just throw it away.

In the past I would have said McAfee was junk but I don't even notice it is there until I need it.

Also I only use SpyBot as an on demand scanner just in case, I do not use the realtime features.

I already use SpywareBlaster, have used it for a while now.

I honestly don't see any slow down etc running these, they have worked great together for almost three months now.
