    MSE vs Avast 6 Real Time Protection Shields

    As the title states, This thread will be about who has the better real time protection methods/shields/whatever.

    Better Protection for what?
    *Detecting Malicious Software
    *Detecting Malicious Sites
    *Email Scanning
    *Downloads from websites
    Those are just to name a few.

    From my experience, I can say that Avast has done an excellent job blocking Malware from when I had a virus on my computer. Other than that, I have never heard from the Avast shields. I have never used MSE so I can't speak on behalf of their shields.

    Positive detection rate? Avast wins by about 2%

    False positive rate? MSE wins, it has one of the lowest false positive rates.

    I've never had a virus with MSE but I've also never had a virus with windows 7. Hard to say what it's due to but I doubt it's my AV.
