I encountered a serious problem installing MSE on my M4500. If I reboot the machine as directed after installing MSE, the laptop shuts down, but when it restarts it goes into emergency repair mode, and subsequently fails to fix the "problem". There are two identified root causes, namely a corrupt ndis.sys driver, and a missing NETIO.sys driver.
There is more to this story, however: It turns out that both of these issues aren't real. While it is impossible to do a warm restart of the machine anymore, if I just perform a shutdown (either right after installing MSE, or after the attempted startup repair), then the system boots just fine, so it turns out there is no corrupted driver, nor is there a missing one. Has anybody ever had or even just heard of this kind of a problem? I did a search, but came up empty...
P.S.: This is an almost brand-new machine, that never had any kind of anti-virus software installed, and has never given me so much as a hickup of any sort.

Did not run into any problems with MSE 2.0 so far, although your avy fits this situation perfectly lol.

sounds like it could be a virus and now youve loaded MSE its picking it up but cant repair it.
