Hi, I just realized that KeePass 2.x allows synchronization via the web. Which means I can encrypt my whole password database and upload it on MY ftp/server (and not on some 3rd party one). Together with Keeform/Keefox it would fully replace LastPass.

    What do you guys think?

You could also sync via dropbox, Amazon,...

I can't exactly answer your question but my take on Keepass is as follows: It's OK for storing and encrypting passwords but doesn't seem to enter the passwords into the application like Roboform does. At least I haven't figured out how to do that. Even Firefox will enter the password for you in some applications but not all. Are you just using Keepass for creating passwords and storing them?

Actually KeeForm/ KeeFox (both plugins for keepass) are able to do a full automatic login with FF/IE. But I haven't tried it yet.

I store pretty much everything in KeePass. SSH logins, FTP logins, Mail, banking,....

That's great news about those plugins. I will try them today. Are they secure?

I just looked at the KeyFox website and it looks like it is still in Beta. It still has some issues, like FF memory leaks and some other issues. Maybe I'll wait awhile before installing it.

Well I just tried it on a virtualbox.. it's awesome !

I went to some domain, logged in with the normal login (so I typed username + pw) and then firefox asked me to save the login to keepass. I said yes. logged out / restarted firefox and visted the site again. There is a "login" button in firefox.. I click it. It logs me in automatically.

    Awesome ! :p

Bye LastPass, hello KeePass & KeeFox (syncing via my own server)

Just installed it as an FF add on and it is working. Just like Roboform only free.

Thanks for all the info zakazak. :)
