I use to get Kaspersky free from my bank and used it for years with no problems until they stopped providing it due to security rumours after a number of governments banned the use of it.

I am happily using Kaspersky Security Cloud Free on my newest laptop, it works very well and hardly consumes any resources, or battery life.

Does it have any bloatware like toolbars or their recently added Secure Connection (AKA VPN)

As far as I can tell, the only bloatware is Secure Connection, but it can be uninstalled without issues, and seemingly without any leftover residual files (at least according to Revo Uninstaller).
